Not only does this place have a super-cool name~ Crux Fermentation Project ~ it has great food (including 2 food trucks out back, El Sancho Taco Shack being my personal fav), a wide variety of delicious beer, and an outdoor seating area with a HUGE open field. It was the perfect place for a play date…yes, I said it, a play date! The kids were able to play corn hole and run & play while giving the adults time to chat and enjoy the yumminess Crux had to offer.
We will plan to bring the whole family for dinner as I’m adding this as a new favorite to my list! It is also the perfect place for date night if you want to leave the kids at home. The added bonus is live music outside next to the fire on the weekends! If you are going for music, be sure to call ahead to confirm as the schedule changes with the weather! Live music is a little more consistent in the warmer months.
Seating inside is also a treat. Who needs a brewery tour when you are sitting smack dab in the middle of one? The atmosphere here gets you up close and personal to all the brewery equipment. The “tasting room” is the focal point of this place, giving you the opportunity to try out what’s new on the menu. Don’t let the picture fool you…this place gets packed! We were here for lunch the minute it opened to avoid the crowds. The open-air setting adds to the appeal of this happening Bend Brewery & Restaurant!
